Under the patronage of the President of the University of Al-Qadisiyah, Prof. Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, and supervised by the Director of the Quality Assurance and Academic Performance Department, Prof. Dr. Abbas Sabbar, the department organized a workshop titled “Quality Assessment of University of Al-Qadisiyah Laboratories” at the Teaching Methods and Academic Training Center, with the participation of quality assurance and laboratory heads across faculties.
The workshop aimed to promote a quality culture, standardize evaluation mechanisms, and identify strengths and areas for improvement across educational and research laboratories. Prof. Dr. Abbas Sabbar emphasized that laboratory quality is an integrated system encompassing staff competency, occupational safety, accurate procedural documentation, and risk management to ensure continuous, sustainable improvement.
Additionally, Prof. Dr. Saleem Azara Hussein presented the preliminary findings of field inspection visits, outlining approved criteria and follow-up strategies. The event concluded with discussions addressing key operational challenges to foster a safe, reliable, and compliant research environment.
